Excellent: Here's a toast to this successful blog launch, and the arrival of yet more noise to jam up the Internet :-).
My main websites are:
- Personal website - which is blogless and thus is serviced by this blog, and
- my Systemeta (Business Hub) for business stuff
- which has its own blog
Ennnnnnnnn .... joy.
ps. I shall add comments about this blog itself and general nerdy administrivia as ... well ... comments to this post.

This info is now out of date, inasmuch as the Business Hub site has been migrated to the hosted website as per the post of 19th April.
Hmmm. I am not sure I like where this blog is heading: downwards, ie due to the template, its going to be a long skinny scroll. Then again perhaps it will be easy to read this way. Perhaps I will get used to it. Its based on a supplied template, that i have hacked as little as possible. Its does not seem to be a very nicely designed template, as there seem to be several related width dimensions in various "objects" which all need to be recalculated and changed in accordance to each other to present the blog at a different width. I saw the same in some supplied Joomla CMS templates, and in its case, recoded them using css with a nice inheritance hierarchy, so changes need to be made in one place only if you want to change some aspect of the finished web page. Throughout the history of programming, the same quality issue has raised its ugly head. I have seen countless parallel examples from Cobol to SQL, bash scripts to Java. There is an awful lot of mediocre hack-programmers out there.
